Discover the language and story of true love as it was originally intended - personal letters from God to you." From that description, I had high hopes for this book. I was excited about a 40-day devotional that would lead me to explore God's love for me. And when I saw the author was Dr. Larry Crabb, I thought it was a sure thing.

However, I was a disappointed. The devotions seemed very quick, provoking little continued thought, and seemed to only lightly scratch the surface. I read some with my husband, and we both felt the point wasn't readily available or it didn't delve in deep enough. Maybe we weren't in a place where this book was really for us. Someone else may have thought this book was wonderful. With this being a 40-day version of his 66 Love Letters, maybe I should try reading the full version. I would suggest that you read some excerpts from Amazon to see what you think before buying it.
