The Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT™) is a scientifically validated tool for screening children between 16 and 30 months of age to assess their risk for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that all children receive autism screening at 18 and 24 months of age, and the M-CHAT is one of the AAP’s recommended tools.Autism Speaks recently shared this resource that will guide parents through a series of easy to answer questions about their child. Once you have gone through the questions, it give recommendations to use when talking to your doctor. If this resource had been around 11 years ago, we would have been clued into my son's PDD and be able to get him resources right away instead of at the age of 10. This is a great resource to use and share!
Blessings in your Adventure...
