Happy Thanksgiving and come on in!

Happy thanksgiving and welcome to our home!

My bloggy friend Linny (at A Place Called Simplicity) suggested that we open our homes and welcome each other in across the miles today. I LOVED the idea! I love having people outside the extended family come to enjoy a meal together. I don't think we have anyone outside the extended family physically joining us today, so this is a great way to share the day. And as this is (hopefully, prayerfully) the last Thanksgiving in this house, I will love the pictures and memories down the road. :) It gets loud and crazy here and the more the merrier! Please stop by later as pictures will be added throughout the day!

Our first prep yesterday was to increase the seating! The tables were fetched, the borrowed high chair is standing by, and the chairs are gathering ready to be put in place.

It's beautiful outside this morning, but sooooo windy and cold!

What holiday would be complete without a Nerf war and ambush?

Coloring and playing...

Playing "beep the nose"...

Playing drums like Daddy...

Even the squirrels are feasting...
Bailey dog...
Sophie dog...

Morgan made the pumpkin centerpiece...

Waiting patiently {ahem}...

Waiting...

Dinner time!

Some of the 6 different desserts...

Clean up, clean up...

 Tessa takes center stage...

Working off the sugar...

Pig pile with the dads!

We hope you all had a wonderful day.
Thank you for joining us and Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Nice to see another Mainer on A Place Called Simplicity. I thought the picture out the window was Maine. It is chilly here. Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving. I am about 90 minutes from you and homeschool my five kiddos, all adopted. I've been a reader of A Place Called Simplicity for quite a few years now.
