A DAY of PRAYER and FASTING for OUR NATION

Governor Paul LePage has issued a proclamation naming August 6, 2011 "A Day of Prayer and Fasting for Our Nation" in Maine, joining the national initiative spearheaded by Governor Rick Perry of Texas.
The Maine Legislative Prayer Caucus is urging Maine church leaders and citizens to participate in this important event by gathering in communities, houses of worship and homes to seek God's favor on our land.
Pastors, business leaders, community leaders and families are asked to facilitate and promote prayer gatherings on this day.
